  1. First: Initiate installation

    Plug the male USB cable from the webcam into an empty female USB socket on your computer. After a few seconds, the operating system should prompt you to install the driver. Insert the installation disk and select "Yes" from the prompt window. This initiates installation of the drivers and software.

  2. Second: Perform fine-tuning

    Once the camera is installed and in place, you can start adjusting the software settings. Navigate to the options or settings section in your webcam software. Adjust the camera resolution and speaker/microphone levels. After completing these operations, fix up the camera focus by adjusting the ring around the lens.

  3. Third: Start recording

    Once the settings are tuned, you can get down to business and start using the device. Communication programs like Windows Live, Yahoo Messenger, Skype and ICQ are bundled in the installed software package are accessed from within. Launch the service you wish to use, and enter your contact number. Add names and numbers to your contact list by entering in the user ID or email address. Use the webcam's built-in microphone for straight voice communication, or access the video feature by enabling the appropriate camera button.
